StinkHorns

Ileodictyon cibarium is a fungus more commonly known as a Stinkhorn. When it gets wet enough, a huge slimy wiremesh polygonal form emerges from the confines of the small mushroom in a display that seems anything but natural. Maori of old thought that they were actually the dropping of ghosts.

Wobbegong Sharks

It took us about 8 months but we finally saw our first Australian shark this week! It was a 1.5 meter spotted Wobbegong Shark, sleeping under a rock. This particular specie is quite flexible and can bite the hand of divers who are harassing them by pulling their tail, which my buddy was doing at the time. Luckily for us, no bloodbath ensued and we got to see it swim away gracefully for a little while until it found another rock under which to go back to sleep.

Superficie

The story of The Kelly Gang

In 1906, Australian filmmakers decided to tell the story of Ned Kelly, famous outlaw who defied colonial authorities in the late 1800. What makes Ned Kelly stand out from the rest of the local ruffians is the metallic armor that he built for him and his crew to deflect bullets from police officer. In the 1906 movie adaptation, one of the actors wore the actual suit of armor used by the Kelly Gang, something that historians would never permit nowadays.
