In 1906, Australian filmmakers decided to tell the story of Ned Kelly, famous outlaw who defied colonial authorities in the late 1800. What makes Ned Kelly stand out from the rest of the local ruffians is the metallic armor that he built for him and his crew to deflect bullets from police officer. In the 1906 movie adaptation, one of the actors wore the actual suit of armor used by the Kelly Gang, something that historians would never permit nowadays.
