Wombats are really weird creatures. These large marsupials have a one inch thick bone plate on their bum. They burrow their homes in the ground so that the entrance is exactly the size of their butt. When chased by dingoes, they race back home and stop right at the entrance. The bony plate acts as a door, and try as they might, the dingoes can't scratch past the bony armor, and it doesn't hurt the wombat at all.
